Pink & Green Flair, Pochampally Double Ikat Cotton Saree
This exquisite saree has been intricately hand-woven using the arduous double ikat technique. Its bottle green body is interlaced with rows of beautiful motifs in yellow and white, resembling the bird’s eye pattern. The aesthetic appeal of this masterpiece is further enhanced by the vibrant pink border and the pink pallav with yellow pinstripes. Woven using mercerised cotton yarn, the saree comes with fabric for the blouse.
Prior to weaving the saree, yarns are required to undergo ikat 'tie/resist' dyeing in accordance with the envisioned design. Achieving desired results under this complex process requires meticulous planning and precise execution.
