Nutangram Wooden Owl with Dotted Beak
Chiselled out of seasoned wood and handpainted in clean strokes of green, red and yellow, this rustic wooden owl makes a great gift or showpiece. It is a specialty of Nutangram, a village in West Bengal. Nutangram dolls are a certified UNESCO heritage craft. Nearly the entire village practises doll making, which is often a collaborative family activity. Each family member picks up a task that complements their skills. From wood carving to colouring, a single peice takes anywhere between a few hours to a few days depending on the size.Dimensions
