Jamun, Deep Purple Chanderi Stole with Fardi ka Kaam
Rows of minimalistic fardi ka kaam embellished on the cotton-silk Chanderi fabric add a touch of class to the stole. The metallic embellishments in the form of dots and circles are done by hand using silver plated metal wires. This traditional ornamenting technique is known as fardi ka kaam, as fardi literally means dots. It is often cross-referred as Mukaish or badla work, a similar metal embroidery technique. Coming from Lucknow, the city of Nawabs – the stole carries a tinge of royalty rooted in the craft's genesis.Dimensions
