Product Details

Portraying one facet of rural life, this cheriyal painting on canvas is done by hand and duly signed by the national-award winning artist, D. Rakesh. Traditional cheriyal paintings were made in a narrative form on a long piece of cloth, pictorially representing a folktale or mythological story that native story tellers would narrate. Today, the art form can be found in discerning homes, albeit in shorter formats capturing only one or a few events.

A very positive experience

(Note - I purchased two Cheriyal Scroll Paintings and this review will appear on both)

1. Good communication and response - I needed a GST bill and wrote to tvami, and they obliged
2. The delivery was before committed time
3. The packing was excellent

Product: This matched our expectations - the work was intricate, as it should be, and not a "mass produced, commercial-grade" stuff. The effort taken by the artist can be felt.

Overall: a 5-star experience. Highly recommended.
