Product Details
The design of this beautiful single ikat saree is reminiscent of monsoon and the joy it brings. The red body is adorned with raindrop shaped motifs in white. Alluring mirror images of peacocks and blooming flowers are intricately woven in the wide black border at the bottom. The maroon pallav of the saree has a white checkered pattern entwined between two blocks of chevron pattern in white. This artful piece has been woven using mercerised cotton yarn.
Prior to weaving the saree, yarns are required to undergo ikat 'tie/resist' dyeing in accordance with the envisioned design. Achieving desired results under this complex process requires meticulous planning and precise execution.
