Product Details
Give your dining table an artistic touch, one connected with the grassroots! This set of six Pattamadai table mats is painstakingly handwoven using fine cotton threads in the warp and intricately split reeds of korai grass in the weft. The unique grass, a sustainable natural fibre, is native to the region and prepared for weaving after a lengthy process of harvesting, drying, soaking, splitting and finally dyeing. The mats, popularly known as pattu pai are best described as woven poetry.
