tvami is a social enterprise inspired by the Sanskrit word “tvam,” meaning your true essence or authentic nature. Our name reflects our purpose — to connect people with handcrafted products that carry meaning, cultural identity, and the spirit of India’s rich craft heritage.

At tvami, we aim to build an ecosystem that places artisans and traditional crafts of India at the centre. We believe that a sustainable and resilient future lies in strengthening village economies, local crafts, and handmade processes that have nurtured us and the earth for generations.

Our endeavour is to create meaningful opportunities in rural India where authentic handmade crafts are practiced, making these traditions economically viable and inspiring future generations to continue their ancestral craft.

We focus on handmade, ethically crafted products that use natural materials, natural dyes and time-honoured techniques. Part of our mission is to revive and preserve processes that are fading— ensuring that skills such as Charaka spinning, natural dyeing, hand weaving, metal craft, pottery and woodcraft continue to thrive.

Wherever possible, we ship directly from artisan clusters across India, allowing your purchase to contribute directly to the artisan’s livelihood while keeping the carbon footprint minimal.
